答案Native words are those words brought to Britain in the fifth century by the Germanic tribes, known as Anglo-Saxon words. They are small in number, but form the mainstream of the basic word stock and stand at the core of the language. Therefore native words are characterized with "neutral in style" and "frequent in use" along with the four features of basic word stock. The loan-words, large in quantity, have enriched the English vocabulary, but can not change the basic structure of the English language, grammar for example.
