    学校具有悠久的历史，她是在1871年创办的文华书院(1903年设大专班，后改为文华大学并成为我校的最早前身，1924年改名为私立华中大学)、1912年创办的中华大学、1949年创办的中原教育学院的基础上，于1951年组建公立华中大学，1952年改制为华中高等师范学校，1953年定名为华中师范学院，1985年8月改名为华中师范大学，并由中原大学创始人邓小平同志亲笔题写校名。

答案Central China Normal University is a comprehensive normal university with full disciplines directly under the administration of the Chinese Ministry of Education. The university serves as an important base to provide training for cadres of educational administration as well as a training center for teachers in the secondary schools and higher normal universities. Located in Wuhan, a transportation hub in China, the university nestles on the Guizi Hill bordering the South Lake. It covers an area of hundreds of hectares with over 32 square meters of building area. There are attractive sceneries on campus which is peaceful and secluded. The campus is shady with tress and you can smell the fragrance of flowers in four seasons, especially the sweet scent of osmanthus flowers. The university is indeed an i-deal place for work and study. The university has a long history. Firstly it developed from Boone Memorial School in 1871(It set up classes for junior college students in 1903 and was renamed as the University of Wenhua , which is the first predecessor of CCNU, and the Private Huazhong University in 1924 respectively). The Public Huazhong University came into being in 1951 as a combination of Boone Memorial School, Zhonghua University which was founded in 1912, and Zhongyuan Pedagogical University in 1949. It was reorganized into Huazhong Higher Normal School in 1952 and renamed Huazhong Normal College. In August 1985, it was renamed Central China Normal University. Deng Xiaoping, one of the founders of Zhongyuan University, inscribed the new name of the university.
