This cartoon raises the question for us: how can we catch an opportunity? I believe that we should get ourselves well prepared for opportunity and that idle waiting is a waste of our life. We all know that opportunities often sneak out of our hands before we notice them. Therefore, it is advisable that we should get well prepared for them before they pop up. Take my experience for instance. Although I am a Chinese major, I like English very much. I keep practicing English all the time. I try to speak English whenever possible. Last week, I took part in the English Speaking Contest of our university. Contending with many English majors, I won the first prize. Why could I win the contest? It is because I work hard learning English, I have always been well prepared and I am competent in speaking English. My experience illustrates that if we want to grasp any opportunity, we should always work hard and become competent for grasping it.
