How many patent applications were submitted in China in 2018?

Asia has reinforced its position as the largest destination of patent fillings,as it received approximately two-thirds of all applications worldwide in 2018.China’s National Intellectual Property Administration received a record 1.54 million applications,accounting for 46.4 percent of the world’s total.Following China,the US ranked second with nearly 600,000 fillings and Japan,third with 313,567 applications.
