To begin with, the adult world is often very competitive: for the promotion at work, for the best seat on the subway, for the best house, for the best car, and so on. When students play sports with peers, they should play competitively, because this prepares them for the real world later on. Further, just as life is competitive, in every competition there must be a winner and a loser. When playing sports, students should play to their greatest ability, and always try to do their best so that they might win. In short, we should always play our best, and always play in an effort to win.
