On the meter stands a middle-aged man, who is holding several balloons, saying "lack of exercise", "stress", "cigarettes and wines", "obesity", and "high salt intake". Around him, three people are looking at the balloons, stunned. The picture intends to inform the reader about the problem of high blood pressure. Its causes are multiple, the most common ones of which have been illustrated in the picture. For the sake of our health, I think certain measures could be taken to prevent and tackle high blood pressure. First, we should have a balanced diet. As the saying goes, "We are what we eat". To avoid or curb high blood pressure, we are advised to cut down on the amount of salt, fat and calorie we have. Second, we should exercise more often. According to some research findings, those who are on a regular exercise scheme can better prevent and control stress-induced hypertension and primary hypertension. In short, in order to prevent and control hypertension, we need to be careful with what we eat and get ourselves off the couch to exercise more.
