The Food Safety Law is fighting against all kinds of food safety problems, for instance, melamine in baby formula milk powder, Sudan Red in KFC, etc. In a word, food safety is facing unprecedented challenges. Food safety means that food shall be non-toxic, harmless and conform to proper nutritive requirements. It is a complex issue because of many reasons; the first and most important reason is that many industrial raw materials are directly used in food production. Take Sanlu milk powder for example.
