答案 There can be little doubt that the Internet has many advantages. To begin with, the Internet makes our life more convenient. We can keep in touch with friends through e-mail instead of the traditional post services. Many companies have offered the E-business services by which we can book tickets, buy the supper and enjoy the latest record of your beloved pop groups all through the Internet while staying leisurely at home. Furthermore, the Internet makes our life more colorful. It provides us a new means to get a wide range of knowledge and information. We can also chat with different people, exchanging ideas and making friends in the cyber space. However, the Internet has also brought about many problems. Many people, especially the children, spend most of their time sitting in front of the computers, playing net-games or chatting in the virtual world. As a result, they neglect their study and work. Besides, when people become so dependent on the Internet, they tend to give up much social communication, which is essential for the mental health. In a long run, this may give rise to more serious social problems. As far as I am concerned, the Internet opens a window for me to know about the outside world. In spite of its defects, I still believe that it is the Internet that boosts our civilization to an unprecedented heights and that it will bring us even more benefits in the future.
