A Remarkable Bicyclist and a Remarkable Human Being
Justin Johnson is a remarkable human being. He was born with
numerous handicaps, but so none of these has stopped him. Unable to 【M1】______
walk without help, Justin began to ride a hand-powering bicycle 【M2】______
several years before. At first, it was very difficult for him to go more than a 【M3】______
short distance. Soon Justin’s trainer Jeff Frame suggested a three-wheel pedal 【M4】______

the pedal bike and then decided to try to compete in bicycle races. In 2004,

possible for him to finish the race, but finally, after dark, Justin made it 【M6】______
across the finish line—with a police escort! It has taken him 5 hours 【M7】______
19 minutes to complete the course. In 2005, when Justin raced again,
he was able to finish the 38-mile race in 4 hours 51 minutes. His training
and hard work had made possible to cut 30 minutes off his previous record. 【M8】______
Justin’s experience with bike racing has encouraged him to shoot for
other goals. Although he has limited vision and hand movements, he’s now
studying in a Tucson college and hopes to graduate. Justin also plan to write 【M9】______
