Meanwhile, the land loss rate is also on rise year by year, which almost follows the change of inhabitant housing. It can be concluded that there is a close link between housing land and arable land. With rapid growth of the modern society, cities are sprawling out at a faster pace. As a result, the cultivated land of our country is diminishing rapidly, which may cause lots of harmful results, such as decrease in grain production. The shrinking of farmland poses a serious threat to our country. We can no longer turn a blind eye to the serious problem. In my opinion, specific policies with regard to the preservation of arable land should be formulated and strictly enforced. There is only one earth on which we can live. We can not waste our precious land any more.
