On Remedial Examinations

答案
On Remedical Examinations Remedial examination is part of college education. Most colleges allow at least one remedial examination on some subjects for every student in order to secure higher rates of graduation. Remedial examination has its advantages. It gives one a second chance to pass an exam, which may be important for the student to reach a higher degree. For a student who has failed the exam just because of sickness, a remedial examination is a fair chance for him to make it up. But remedial examination also has disadvantages. Some students don’t work hard enough, because they think even if they fail the exams, they still have a second chance. In my opinion, remedial examination is good when it is used fairly. Some colleges decide that a student can take not more than 4 remedial examinations during his college years, or he will fail to get the bachelor’s degree. I think such restriction to remedial examination is vital if it is to be used wisely.
