Nancy: Hi Lily. How’s your shop going?
Lily: Very well. We made some money in the first month!
Nancy: What made you decide on a sandwich shop in the first place?
Lily: One day, I was sitting in a SuperBite sandwich shop when I suddenly thought, " Why not open my own shop since I like sandwiches so much !"
Nancy: What were your biggest problems to begin with?
Lily: Rent! So expensive! I finally found a small shop of about four square meters.
Nancy: I see. Any other problems?
Lily: Money! I had none so I had to borrow twenty thousand dollars from my parents as start-up capital.
Nancy: That was kind of them. They must really believe in you. What’s the secret of your success?
Lily: Two things. My sandwiches are half the price of SuperBite’ s. Second, I always smile at my customers. I like to make them feel welcome.
Nancy: How do you manage the shop by yourself?
Lily: I have some friends who work part-time for me. So, I don’ t suffer too much.
Nancy: What about the future?
Lily: Obviously, I’ d like to have a chain of shops.
