答案 I’d like to describe the central library which is located in the east of my city. It has convenient transport, so it only takes me about 15 minutes to get there by bus. I often go there when I have time. Although the library is very large, it doesn’t have a special design and looks like an ordinary public building. The reason for this may be that the library was built in the 1970s and there was not much money allocated for its design. The library consists of four buildings whose public facilities are all available to readers. Though the exterior of the buildings is reserved from the 70s, the inside of the buildings is refurbished and modernized. For example, the public space is air-conditioned and well-ventilated. The library has eight halls of books for circulation and they’re all categorised in a systematic way. It also has three big reading rooms, one of which is specially made for parents and children. It’s decorated with cartoon stickers and colourful furniture. Many children have a good time there at weekends. Apart from the reading rooms, there’re three large lecture theatres in the library as well. Every weekend, scholars or writers are invited to the library to give free public lectures. I really get a kick out of those lectures because I can learn a lot from the experts and meet the writers of some of my favourite books. I like visiting the library because it has so large a volume of books that I can always find what I want to read. Also, it holds various reading-related activities that I enjoy taking part in. So, to be honest, going to the library brings a lot of fun to my life.
