答案
The bar chart shows the different options considered as the most important thing in life by the respondents. As can be seen, health, picked by 39.2% of the respondents, is the favorite choice, followed by family (19.5%) and bosom friends (16.4%). The least favorite choice is oneself (4.9%) and the second least is knowledge (11.8%). It is interesting to note that health is predominantly popular among the respondents, suggesting that they place more value on physical well-being of their life, as opposite to the less popular choice of knowledge, an indicator of intellectual well-being. According to the survey results, one could deduce that the respondents may be in the lower levels of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, which believes physiological needs are the most basic ones of a person’s life. I think this should raise the government’s attention to provide a better safety net, thereby easing citizen’s concerns on their health issues and enabling more people to move up to higher levels of needs.
