答案
The Benefits of Crying In Chinese culture, crying is stigmatized and considered as a sign of weakness. That is why Chinese men are taught to suppress their feelings and not to shed tears. I, however, think that crying is very important and beneficial to us. Biologically, some of the toxic in our body could be discharged when we cry. According to scientific discovery, when we cry, excessive amount of chemicals and hormones is released, thus keeping our body in a stable state. If we "shut down" crying, the chemicals will accumulate within our system and pose threats to our health. Emotionally, crying helps relieve the pent-up feelings and restore a mental balance. When we feel painful, distressed and frustrated, it is natural that we have an urge to cry, as a self-healing mechanism of the body. As a matter of fact, it is reported that those who refuse to cry are feeling more desperate than those who cry. We could say that our emotion within is like a balloon, and crying is like a valve to release the pent-up stress. Without crying, the balloon would burst and lead to a complete breakdown. In conclusion, crying is supported by biological and emotional reasons. We should accept crying, despite the cultural stigma of weakness.
