According to the news, it was confirmed that my hometown would have a high-speed train this June. I was so excited to hear that. 　　My hometown is located in a small, costal city that relatively falls behind other big cities in the province. One striking example is the poor condition of transport, especially the lack of high-speed railway. When most big cities in our province are interconnected with high-speed bullet trains, people from my hometown still need to travel 6 to 8 hours on a bus or a car on highway, which is 3 or 4 times longer. But now, things are about to change. A newly-built high-speed railway will connect my hometown to most big cities in the province, and that will reduce by half the current travel time. What’s more, the spacious, comfy seats and warm service will provide passengers with much better experience. 　　As a student studying in big cities for many years, I fully understand the pain of traveling home by bus. Getting stuck in traffic for long hours without a toilet or any food really wears me out. But if there’s a high speed railway in my hometown, it’ll be more convenient What’s more, a high-speed railway would be a great benefit to the tourism in my hometown. By that time, people from all around the country can travel faster and cheaper to my hometown and enjoy our fresh seafood and tropical fruits. It would be definitely good for elevating the city’s image. I can’t wait for that day to come.
