How many refineries have been closed during the hurricane’s time?

Fears that the United States faces a winter shortfall of heating oil have helped to drive the price of crude oil upwards. Concerns that hurricane damaged refineries and the US would be unable to cope with demand help push the cost of light sweet crude up by more than a dollar on Wednesday. The price has continued to edge up this Thursday trading at $ 66.67 a barrel. More than 100 oil facilities including 12 refineries remain closed in the Gulf of Mexico in the wake of hurricanes Rita and Katrina.
