    Before you move on, think about whether you are making the most of your present job. It may be the wrong job for you, but equally you may have become set in your ways or stopped being active, which has resulted in the work becoming dull and rewarding. If this is the case, is there anything you can do to remedy this? If not, learn the lessons so that your new job will be all that you want.
    Most jobs have a natural lifespan and time will come when you will have learnt all it has to offer. This often happens with a first or second job, but can strike at any time in your working life.
    One final tip - try to get another job before you leave your present one. It may sound obvious that many people decide that they can’t bear their present job and desert it over night, leaving themselves cash poor and insecure. The old saying that it’s easier to get a job when you have a job is completely true, so don’t do it!
