答案 Fujian Tulou, a type of civilian residence of the Hakka, is mainly distributed in the mountainous areas in southwestern Fujian, China. Its unique design and magnificent structure as well as its anti-humidity and anti-earthquake nature have made it different from any other residential buildings in the world. The Hakka people used to live in central China before they migrated to provinces of Fujian, Guangdong and Guangxi to avoid wars several hundred years ago. Upon their arrival, they found themselves in constant conflicts with the local people due to differences in cultures and customs. To protect their clan, they built these earthen structures, which could accommodate as many as a thousand of families. In 2008, a total of 46 Fujian Tulou sites were included in the World Heritage Site List.
