What is the purpose of the talk?

Good afternoon, I’m very glad to be here again. And welcome to the meeting of our spring cycling season. It’s a great pleasure to see so many new faces here.
   Last year we had our cycling group set up. For one year, we’ve persisted in cycling as much as possible. Today I certainly hope that you, both old and new, will feel at home with our group, and cycling will become a hobby, for your physical fitness.
   Our city offers ample opportunities for cyclists of all abilities. Beginners will fried the shore and the area in the south of our city suitable while experts riders will discover that the steep trails of the region around high point offer a challenge to their skill. In addition, our city is rich in historical interest, such as the colonial architecture, and battlefields. Most are carefully preserved. We have organized tours nearly every weekend. Next Saturday we will have another tour. It will be a relatively easy one, from Recters University to the Gateway National Park. Interested cyclists should meet at 8 a. m. in the parking lot at the corner of Hamilton street. The minimum time of this tour is about 6 hours. We’ll use a buddy system throughout the ride. Each new rider should team up with a more experienced rider so that we can be sure that no one will be left behind on the back roads.
