W: I was just told that the firm is moving its headquarters from New York to New Jersey. Did you know about that?
M: The board has been discussing it for a while but kept it a secret until yesterday. We’ve already sent a team to visit some office buildings in the area. They’ve selected two possibilities for us to choose between at the next meeting. The move is scheduled for next month.
W: So it’s really happening? I wonder why the company wants to move. I think the current office building is in a convenient location.
M: I agree with you, but management wants to take advantage of the newer facilities available in New Jersey. Not to mention, the rent is much cheaper there than here in New York.
