答案
My idea of the future world Many peopleam concerned with the question what our future world will be like. Different people have different answers to this question. From a pessimistic point of view, our word will certainly come to its doom. Reasons am very obvious. To take AIDS as an example. Statistics shows that altogether about 40 million people contracted AIDS all over the world and in 2003 alone 2.3 million people died. And terrorists’ attacks happened one after another, not to mention the outbreak of SARS, the ceaseless regional conflicts and the environmental problems. All these make our world full of terror and uncertainty. But for the optimistic, our future world will become better and better. They will argue that we have made numerous progress in the past few decades. The invention of telephone makes ns be able to talk to friends overseas. Spacecrafts and astronauts have successfully landed on the moon. The popularization of computer technology and Internet renders us to be capable of knowing what happens at the other end of the world in a few seconds. Even the world itself is now called "world-village". Human civilization is developing at an unprecedented speed. When it comes to me, it is certain that our future world will be far more wonderful and prosperous than now. But we cannot wait the future to come to us. We must adopt an active attitude to change and develop our world. All the countries should unite in dealing with problems like SARS, AIDS, pollution, conflicts and terrorism, and so on. Related laws should be enacted and agreements signed to maintain the world peace and promote the common development of the world. So long as we all realize the seriousness of the existing problems and endeavor to solve them while continuing to develop the science and technology, our world will undoubtedly have a promising future.
