Many ancient architectures and traditional ways of living have been deserted. It seems that the traditional culture and craftsmanship will be replaced in this modern era. (2) The following reasons can account for the above phenomenon. Firstly, traditional technologies are always considered ineffective while the new technologies are always highly efficient, (3) with the help of which we can save much money and time in both daily life and academic studies. Secondly, it is costly to protect the traditional culture, especially the maintenance and repair of the historical buildings. (4) In my opinion, traditional culture is a part of Chinese culture. And it is inevitable to take advantage of the traditional culture in the process of building our harmonious society. Therefore we should take in the essence of it and combine it with the modern culture, serving our society.
