Online shopping is a form of electronic commerce which allows consumers to directly buy goods or services from a seller over the Internet. Online stores are usually available 24 hours a day with broader selections, competitive pricing and plenty information. Although the benefits of online shopping are considerable, it still has some problems. E-stores use extremely clever strategies, such as sales, one second killing, to winkle customers into making purchases. Apparently their effort will lead us to impulsive spending. Online shopping has a greater access to information or ads. Too many times I was baited by the gimmicks, and then waste much more time reading details, doing comparison, then shopping around. Personal information leakage is another danger. Whenever users purchase a product, they are required to put in their personal information including name, address, telephone number, payment passwords and so on. If the website is not secure, customers’ information can be accessible to anyone who knows how to obtain it. There are also other problems of online shopping such as logistics and distribution problems, after-sales service issues and difficulty of rights protection. In a word, online shopping has high potential risks, thus people should be careful while doing online shopping.
