答案 Dear Editor, As a native of this city, I have been paying much attention to traffic conditions. Now that the traffic is getting much worse, I would like to appeal for a reduction in the number of private cars. It is true that all factors such as the poor road layout and constant road construction should be blamed for holding up our traffic. However, the number of private cars should also be taken under strict control because more cars means more crowded streets and less speed. I highly recommend that the government continue tightening the quota for car license plates and that car owners try taking public transport more, instead of throwing themselves into the already jammed streets.
